I’m scared of the light

When I type the into Google “definition of fear” this is what appears in the search engine-

An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

This is a perfect way to start this post, as the definition clearly shows that fear is produced in a state of when one believes they will encounter danger, pain or some sort of threat. This is very interesting to me, because many a times I hear people talk about fear in the context of not being able to do something, such as an application, or entering a competition, or exercising or even learning how to cook. All these things have a common theme, and that is the movement into adding something new and beneficial into your life, you can only gain from these experiences and nothing else, yet some are scared to even attempt them. Is it the fear of not doing it perfect the first time ? Is it fear of how they will start what they want to achieve ? Well sorry to burst your bubble but absolute geometric perfection is not necessarily stable in our reality, yet perfection is achieved via the action; that is the definition of perfection, thoughts into action. Anyone who has been or will be successful has not necessarily known how they were going to achieve their successes, yet due to strong will power that has overcome the idea of fear that tricks ones mind into mediocrity, they were able to conquer what they did not know; they switched on the light when it was dark. We cannot be scared to try new things because that is the only way we can get a solid result and answer as to what we as people would like to do next. If we never make that first step, if we never make that first move, if we never attempt, we shall always be still and stagnant; never seeking, never knowing.

Fear is dangerous because it prevents development, it prevents us from experiencing and expanding our minds in the direction of achieving our goals, no matter how small or big they are, it prevents understanding which is absolutely crucial for comfortability and execution. We as a network of spirituals bodies and potential thought must strive to conquer fear in any shape or form. If we learn to love, we learn not to fear. Love is described as a deep intense affection and desire for a particular thing. If we use love in all aspects of our lives we will not fear because the intensity of love overcomes the misguided understanding of what people believe fear to be in the objectives they would like to complete. Love allows you to try new things in order to understand fully what one desires.

It makes sense that people feel fear to do things, but this is a deep trick that unfortunately society has pushed for in this competitive driven world “You have to do it right the first time” they say. This is true, but if you don’t do anything at all how will you ever know if your measure up to the task, how will you ever know if you were the best candidate ? You won’t know, and so you will forever be in the darkness because you are scared of the light. It’s time now and as it was before to not be afraid to achieve, achieve for yourself ! If it is a competitive world then it makes more sense not to be scared to attempt things, the ultimate creator has given us free will to make a choice, and some people make the choice to be scared because of invisible pressure that they have conjured in their minds at times. What do you have to lose, your pride, your dignity, gain embarrassment, shatter your self esteem ? These are all things you create for yourself, if you feel this way, then you feel this way. I repeated the sentence twice because I am saying that if one feels these emotions it is because you have allowed yourself and possibly imagined that reality of emotion displayed in your current one. Take a stand and be in control !

You are a light, and your task is to light up the world ! Go forth and don’t be scared to attempt, achieve, succeed, because it is your given right to not be scared and try new things.

Good Luck !
