Answer the public with these content ideas
It’s very important to realise that in this digital age there is an overwhelming amount of content out there, making it difficult to know where you stand. Google is home to a vast amount of content aimed to help us search for items. The key is to produce content that can be searched for. My aim with this article is to give some content ideas so you confidently start producing some awesome content.
In short, you want to produce content that answers specific questions based on research or buyer intent. Displaying your expertise in some way is what will help you stand out. Rather than making it up as you go along, do your research first to see what people are searching for. Then you can reply to these search queries with your content.
Content Types
Content developed should be focused on information that really relates and resonates with your audience. To get an idea of to know what does, check out these actions on Quora and how to create a blog post. Once you have done your foundational research you should focus on content that does the following:
Education based content
Helping people learning new things is a great way to position yourself as an expert. This is because you are teaching someone a new skill, or providing them with the knowledge that they value as useful. The best example of this are posts that include:
- The Ultimate guide to
- How to do
- Learn the art of
- Why does…?
- What is…?
- How much is…?
You get the picture. What makes these titles good is if you use the right short tail or long tail keywords that generate high traffic. You can learn how to do that here.
Opinions & Viewpoints
This is a tricky one and unless you’re a brave soul, it may not be advisable to do this as often. Giving your stance on a current topic will polarise the minds and hearts of your audience. If you are going to do this, you need to be all in! At the same time dependent on your niche, find the right balance in terms of addressing your opinion. You don’t want to be open for attack! However, this is a great way to find your audience quickly as there will be people who resonate with you faster.
Reviews & Comparisons
Before many of us make any sort of buying decision, we like to get other people’s opinion; even if we don’t know them! Reviews and comparisons give a silent confidence behind the purchasing of specific products or services. This is great for affiliate marketing and really helping your audience know why you would recommend something. One of the best ways to sell something is to give your opinion on it.
Top 10s etc.
People like numbers and things to validate understanding. If you’re able to present them with information that quickly highlights “the best of…” within a category, then people will gravitate towards you. This could be centered around brands, services, products and people. People love a good recommendation and are always seeking ways to make their decision making easier. Make it easy for them and develop content that shows them the way, the truth and the light.
Interviews
Talking to experts can help you develop knowledge and position you as a key person of influence, as well as promoting the other person. It can grow your network quite quickly in your industry, especially if you secure the right sort of people. You could even return the favour if your guests have a podcast, and be interviewed by them. Interviews can be developed on YouTube, iTunes and written up on your WordPress post. If you can do all three. It’s best to develop material 3 – 6 months in advance
Documenting your journey
I’m sure you’ve heard this from Gary Vee and too be honest he’s not wrong in saying it. Filming yourself in this way creates a vulnerability that you have to get over. We are in a world where people want to know about the personal brands’ story. This is because people want to connect even greater than before as digital technologies facilitate this. Start to document the beginnings of your journey, the process behind building your brand, and the things you’ve realised. It’s literally having a dialogue with your audience about what’s happening and just checking in on them. This sort of content is great for social media stories such as Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook stories, however, you can consolidate this in written text.
Summary
This is more than enough to go away with and start producing killer content that makes a difference in people’s lives. Of course, this would be a complete waste of time if you didn’t have a strategy to start with. Essentially you need to find the right search query short and long tail keywords and focus your content around that. This information will also allow you to validate what sort of products and services you want to develop. This again, confirms the sort of content you should develop that fosters people to want to develop a deeper relationship with you, which is typically done via email. The aim of the game is to produce as much useful high-quality-content as possible on a frequent basis because you can, but also to increase the chances of getting people to sign up to your offer. This offer may be presented as a video series, ebook, webinar or MP3 download with access dependent up email sign up. Furthermore, people may get this offer by entering in their email information via a pop-up, form at the end of your content, or email toolbar at the top or bottom of your page.
